Northend United 4 Greenisland 1                                          Saturday 21st March 2015

For the second week in a row Northend got off to a great start when Ryan Mark scored after a minute when Ross Gamble cut in from the right wing and passed into the Greenisland box for Ryan Mark to run onto and place into the far corner. Northend were knocking the ball around well and had Greenisland pinned in their own half and Conor McDonald was having a big influence on the game winning all the tackles and headers in midfield. Northend went further in front when McDonald scored direct from a corner in the thirteen minute.
Northend let Greenisland back into the game when they started to lay deep and Greenisland pushed higher up the field and they scored from a ball that was not cleared properly and the Greenisland striker gave Jason Givens in the Northend goal no chance. The score stayed 2-1 at half time.

Northend players had a good talk at half time and came out for the second half with a different attitude and really took control of the game with Jay Kirkpatrick in brilliant form in defence .Callum Forsythe scoring with a neat chip over the Greenisland keeper from twenty yards before Ryan Boomer scored from close range to finally finish off the Greenisland Boys. Ballymena United 3 Northend United 5                    Sat 14th March 2015

This was a great display of football from both the Ballymena teams with 8 goals being scored in the first meeting between these two teams. Northend got off to a great start when they went one up in the first minute when Adam Mooney finished off a great move when he coolly slotted into the far corner of the Ballymena goal and it got better after five minutes when Connor Meeke cut in from a left wing position to blast a unstoppable shot into the roof of the Ballymena goal from outside the box. Northend were pressing Ballymena high up the field and they should have added another after Ryan Mark played a perfect pass though to Adam Mooney but the Ballymena keeper pulled of a good save. Ballymena came more into the game and pulled one back from a corner then  Northend went further in front when Conor McDonald scored a screamer again from outside the box after the ball came back to him from a corner and he chipped the ball high into the net giving the keeper no chance. The players in midfield from both teams were in the thick of it and Ballymena pulled one back before half time when their right winger hit a shot across the Northend box which came off a Northend player and into the Northend goal. Northend then hit the crossbar from a Conor McDonald shot and Adam Mooney should have added two more goals before half time.  Half time score 2-3

Ballymena scored early in the second half to level the score and the game went from end to end but Northend again went in front when Adam Mooney ran though and slammed his shot into the Ballymena goal, Northend again hit the crossbar before they extended their lead when Jay Kirkpatrick scored from close range from a corner with minutes just remaining to give Northend their first Derby win of the season which was a great advertisement for both teams with some thrilling football played. Northend United 1 Chimney Corner 2                                       Saturday 7th March 2015

This was a close game with both teams playing good football on a stormy Saturday morning. Northend were playing against the wind in the first half but they were the team who nearly opened the scoring when Conor McDonald hit the crossbar from twenty five yards with a unstoppable shot and the same player watched another long distance shot just miss the target with the keeper well beaten. Chimney Corner were starting to get more into the game and hit the Northend post with a great shot from outside the box and for a spell the Northend team had their backs to the wall with the wind aiding Chimney Corner long passing. The Northend defence of  Callum Forsythe, Josh Coates, and captain Oisin Connelly were working hard and were able to keep the score 0-0 to half time.

Northend and Chimney Corner went at it in the second half with both teams counter attacking but it was Chimney Corner who broke the deadlock to go in front and they added a second later in the game before Northend responded with a contender for goal of the season when Callum Forsythe struck a shot from his own half when he saw the Chimney Corner keeper of his line and watched it bounce over the keeper and into the goal. Northend pushed hard for a equaliser but it was not to be their day. This was a  great team performance from the Northend U13 team with Oisin Connelly, Jason Givens, Callum Forsythe, Josh Coates outstanding players on the day. Final score 1-2
